Med Supp Withdrawn In 9 States Effective 1-1-24

Effective January 1, 2024, acceptance of new Med Supp applications in the following states will be discontinued:

  • Lumico States — NV and WY
  • ELIPS States — IA, IL, MD, MO, NE, OK and SD

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Effective 1/1/24, we will no longer accept applications in the above states.
  • Any apps started in our e-App must be submitted by 12/31/23, or they will expire on 1/1/24.
  • Paper applications received on or after 1/1/24 will be returned.
  • Applicants may request an effective date that is after 1/1/24, so long as:
    • Paper applications are received by 12/31/23.
    • e-Apps are submitted by 12/31/23.
  • This change only impacts new business submissions. We will continue to service and pay claims for existing policyholders in these states.
  • Commissions of your in-force Med Supp policies underwritten by Lumico and/or Elips Life will not be affected.

Coming soon: Lumico Agent Center enhancement

Exciting news! Starting August 9, agents who are newly appointed with Lumico will be able choose their own, unique user ID and password to log-in to Lumico Agent Center (LAC).

Here’s what you need to know:

  • When logging into LAC for the first time, agents will be prompted to verify their identity, then register by providing a user ID and password.
  • The user ID field must be unique and requires between 4 and 64 alphanumeric characters.
    (Only “@”, “.” and “_” are allowed for special characters).
  • Passwords must have a minimum of eight characters, and include at least one upper case letter, one lower case letter, and one number.

For agents appointed with Lumico prior to 8/9, no action is required at this time; their email address will continue to serve as their user ID. If you have any questions, please contact your Account Manager directly.

Update Your Contact Information In Lumico Agent Center

Next Week, when you log into Lumico Agent Center, you will notice a pop-up requesting that you update your contact information. This will help ensure you continue to receive important notifications.

When prompted, please provide:

  • A personal email address that you have access to (not a shared inbox); and
  • Your mobile phone number.

Lumico log-in authentication errors
